1- Unlike other films it does not sugarcoat the fact of existing dowry system of the society and frankly showed the general emotion about it in the mind contemporary youth.

2- I do not know the expectations people had from this film when they rated it so low. I went to watch this movie expecting it to be a nice romantic comedy. The film explores a social evil in India that is dowry. Varun Dhawan makes you like the protagonist almost immediately. He gets the diction right and he looks the part. You start feeling for the sensitive Badri. Alia bhatt is fabulous in the emotional scenes. She can act. Sahil Vaid plays the hero’s best friend to perfection. The music of the film is fantastic. The film entertains you and there are lots of moments where they touch your heart. Shashank Khaitan’s Humpty Sharma was laughable but Badrinath ki Dulhaniya is a good attempt.
